Case study - Energy efficiency - Medika JSC

Medica JSC (Medika Sandanski) is among the largest manufacturers of dressing materials in Eastern Europe, and an established Bulgarian manufacturer of medicinal products, with manufacturing facilities located in Sandanski. The measures installed involved the replacement of the old steam boilers with two new gas-fired boilers, as well as replacing the steam pipes. The new efficient equipment that replaced the worn- out boilers reduced the consumption of heavy fuel oil and electricity, and cut operating and maintenance costs.
